So plötzlich ist der Abschied,
so völlig unmöglich die Vorstellung,
so unbegreiflich unsere Gefühle,
das Wahre zu begreifen.

Wir haben Marian letztmals am 18.12.2003 gesehen, als er zum Einstieg aufbrach. Danach war er über 6 Monate auf See und hätte ab 23.06.2004 seinen Urlaub und seinen letzten Schulzeitblock antreten sollen. Am 19.06.2004 hatte Marian´s Freundin noch telefonischen Kontakt mit ihm. Die Freude auf das Wiedersehen war groß......

The parting, so completely not possibly the conception,
is so suddenly so incomprehensible our feelings

We saw Marian for the last time on 18.12.2003 as he boarded the ship.
He then spent more than 6 months at sea and should have taken leave
to begin his training in school on 23.06.2004.
Marian’s girlfriend spoke to him on the phone on 19.06.2004
– They couldn’t wait to see each other again……
